Biggest takeaways for me: choosing and consuming quality calories from real food and avoiding the empty calories of most highly processed, high calorie foods. Not all calories are equal.

The other thing is to stay in a state where blood glucose levels don't drop dangerously low, which is why some people in fact do better when they eat several small meals/snacks as opposed to waiting several hours for a bigger meal.
