Point taken, except that I never mentioned Covid specifically. I was merely observing that intelligent people may dive deeper into issues. It was a query based on the “pandemic” example, about any studies done to see the efficacy of masks in stopping the spread of viruses. If there had been any, and the results showed a reliable efficacy rate, then using masks might have been part of the standard in avoiding sickness from a virus. The common cold, as an example, is a virus that has been around forever, and up until now the standard practice to mitigate the spread has been to disinfect surfaces, frequent hand washing, staying home when sick, rest, increasing fluid intake, etc…..
