I am well aware that there are studies out there on the efficacy of wearing masks. Intelligent people do challenge the current thinking; I merely used the author’s slam at those who don’t believe wearing masks are of value in a pandemic as one example of how intelligent people would approach a conversation. I don’t believe intelligent people disrespect those whose opinions are not theirs. Many times it is only a matter of having a cogent conversation.
