I can relate to this on a different level. Three years ago my spouse decided to close his solo internal medicine practice and move to a position at the VA which was just fine, but we needed to move from our home of 20+ years.

As soon as our house sold, we were on the hunt.

Fast forward several weeks and in that time we placed bids on three different homes and backed out of all three because something did not seem right with them. He decided one house had a garage that was too small. At one house the owner refused to pay for any repairs. The third was just cold feet.

Our realtor finally drew the line in the sand and told him that the next house she wrote up a bid on could not be pulled. Apparently she was developing a reputation among her peers of being insincere or just a flake.

We eventually returned to the "cold feet" house, bid accepte, moved, and have lived happily ever after (mostly).

Thanks for the read!
