I have been thinking about doing a piece on my nonagenarian in-laws on this very topic. Joan still has old lady widow friends from way back but Joe has no male friends at all. He doesn’t even speak with his younger siblings (mostly brothers).

The sad thing is that I think he would like to have some testosterone interactions. My spouse (their son) works from home two days a week and I have noticed that he seems more engaged and active than on the days when he is the only rooster in the hen house.
