Intriguing perspective. There is a definite void in the human spirit these days, and I believe all the angst and frustration stem from our natural human nature being robbed of its innate goodness (or the nurturing of this virtue) by a world that has hung a curtain between us and the only Source for human happiness there is.
Those poor humans who see only the illusion of this life are the ones who push back with violence either on someone else, or, sadly, even themselves.
At one time the Incarnate Word, by His death, ripped the curtain away so that all could see the Holy of Holies in all His love and goodness for His creatures and could nurture their own relationship with God.
Yes, more of us need to live a life of gratitude, grace, and forgiveness. As this happens, it will be as Tertullian, imagining pagans looking at Christians, observed "Look," they say, "how they [Christians] love one another" (for they - the pagans - hate one another); "and how they are ready to die for each other (for they - the pagans - are readier to kill each other).
Thanks for the read.
