Push Finally Came to Shove
In pursuit of following a passion
The answer is, I don’t know. In some ways, I don’t want to know.
All I know is that at this point, I need to see where it all takes me.
I have consistently said that I admire and respect everyone who finds their passion and pursues it. I am surrounded them.
My best friend loves flowers of all sorts and through the years has created beautiful gardens at her home.
Her spouse loves music, and after being downsized from his job after 20 years — one that caused him anxiety and stress — he auditioned for, and was added to a “garage band” that plays gigs in the pubs in our area. At least until the covid thing shut this down.
A few months ago my spouse, Tim, decided to engage a financial professional to find out if he would ever be able to retire. More than 30 years in medicine, both as a solo practitioner and part of a large health system, he finally decided that medicine was not as fulfilling as it was before the corporations and the government decided they could take care of patients better than he could. He took the leap to actually find out if what we had built financially through the years would sustain us and our adult daughter until the next life changing event (death) came around to claim us.
