The fact of the matter is that it is an abomination for a person to call themselves a "devout Catholic" and then deny the basic tenants of the Faith. It is a scandal to those outside the Faith to witness such behavior.

There are four sins which cry to heaven for vengeance: willful murder, sodomy, oppression of the poor, and denying a laborer just wages. This is Biblical. It is found in both the Old and New Testaments. Abortion is willful murder.

Mrs. Pelosi and other elites who call themselves Catholic but whose actions work in direct opposition to the Faith would be better served by just admitting they don't believe what the Church teaches or love anything other than themselves, and let the Church go forward in the world without them.

The Archbishop was correct in his decision to deny her Holy Communion: the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ. She is not a worthy receptacle. According to St. Paul, she is calling down judgment on herself by receiving It unworthily. "Therefore, whoever eats this bread or drink the cup of the Lord unworthily, will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord" (1 Cor 11:27).

What the Archbishop did was call out truth to power. It is his job to do that. This would any Catholic in good standing's job: it is a Spiritual Work of Mercy to admonish the sinner and instruct the ignorant (although I suspect that Mrs. Pelosi knows exactly what she is doing, mores the pity).
