When medicine became a corporation, my spouse left to go back to solo practice. That lasted about 10 years because corporate medicine and insurance companies conveniently locked out the "little guys" by requiring in-network participation and employer-sponsored health plans took the bait.

They also conveniently restricted a physician's ability to treat patients with proper medications (think insurance formularies), and having to justify every single thing they do in treating a patient.

Absolutely, those in control make all the money.
